Dogs need exercise, too. You can take them for long walks around your area, run or play Frisbee or play fetch in the park. If you have a dog with high energy levels, then you have to spend time doing exercises with him. This will keep him from getting bored and becoming destructive. When you know that your dog likes that certain activity, make it a routine for him to look forward to.

Oral diseases are common in dogs so it is important that you give attention to your dog’s dental health. Use toothbrushes and toothpastes designed for dogs. Feed him healthy and give him the proper toys to chew, and don’t forget your regular visits to your vet. These will help keep your dog healthy.

Grooming your dogs regularly is essential. Keep your dogs neat and clean. Long haired dogs need to be brushed daily to get rid of loose hairs and parasites while short haired dogs love getting a massage. Dogs should get regular nail trimming. There are dog breeds that that can be groomed and there are some that need professional grooming. What is important is that you give the love and attention your dog truly deserves.
